Security Consulting

 SSI provides expert security consulting services to address clients' routine and special security needs domestically and in some of the most difficult and dangerous areas of the world. These services are provided by highly qualified U.S. or third country professionals as dictated by the operational environment. 

 SSI supports clients ranging from the energy sector, and in particular the pipeline industry, to the financial services industry, commercial office spaces, high net worth individuals, and select private schools, to various programs for the Department of Homeland Security. The interstate natural gas and liquids pipeline industry has formed the core of SSI’s energy sector consulting practice in North America since 2002. SSI’s clients have included many of the largest interstate natural gas and liquids pipeline companies. Projects run as far upstream as exploration and production on land and offshore, to terminals and pipelines directly supplying refineries midstream, and downstream to refined products to truck racks at distribution terminals and local distribution companies providing natural gas to commercial entities and residences. Project scopes have included not only addressing TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines, but also the Maritime Transportation and Security Act (MTSA) and Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS).  SSI has also completed and secured U.S. Coast Guard approval for many Waterway Suitability Assessments (WSAs) and their associated Letters of Intent. 

 SSI specializes in addressing difficult security and risk issues in geographic areas often dangerous and hostile to U.S. and western interests. These projects often focus on energy related assets and personnel but have also included clients in fields such as the financial services industry and freight forwarding companies.
